Allevamento San Martino was founded in 1989 in Darfo Boario Terme, Brescia.
The decision to breed the Haflinger breed was born from the natural docility and rusticity of this horse which is well suited to the type of territory in which the center is located.
Twenty years of experience with horse breeding and attention to animal welfare gave life to MareMilk. The brand was in fact born in 2013 in response to a problem often encountered in horse breeding: approximately after the first two months of life, the foal's diet, previously consisting exclusively of their mother's milk, becomes varied, also including grass and hay.
The staff of our breeding farm proceeds with weaning, id est the practice of making the foal independent from its mother, no earlier than six months of the foal’s life.
The mare, still in the post-natal lactation phase, continues to produce milk which will be consumed less frequently by the foal in favor of a solid and semi-solid diet.
The Maremilk project fits into this situation, which allows us to overcome the problem of excess milk produced by mares by taking small portions of milk on a weekly basis, without interfering with the habits and nutritional needs of the foal and avoiding pathologies such as mastitis for mares.
The staff of Allevamento SanMartino also includes a veterinary doctor who evaluates and selects the mares with the most favorable Body Condition Score (BCS) and follows all the phases of horse breeding and milk collection, guaranteeing the respect and psychophysical well-being of the equines.
MareMilk products are born from the antioxidant and soothing properties of our horses' milk, rich in nutrients and characterized by an enveloping, velvety and at the same time light texture, allowing deep hydration and giving greater elasticity and softness to every skin type.
The face and body product lines range from simple daily hydrating and regenerating use to targeted treatments such as rosacea, anti-aging and toning.
